Millard West High School Named September Pump & Pantry School Spirit Award Winner

Millard West Sept Winner

The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) is proud to announce Millard West High School as the Pump & Pantry School Spirit Award recipient for the month of September and the first winner of the 2015-2016 school year.

The School Spirit Award program features NSAA member schools sharing photos of their students and fans emphasizing positive support and excitement at NSAA events via social media. Winning photos are selected monthly and may be featured throughout the year on the NSAA website, additional publications and at NSAA State Championships. As the September honoree, Millard West High School will also receive a $250 gas card provided by Pump & Pantry to support team and fan travel.

“The photo was taken at a combination pep rally we held last month. Our school, including all 2,489 students came together to celebrate winning the Omaha World Herald Grand Champions, the 2014-2015 U.S. Cellular Cup All School Division, as well as recognizing our Head Coaches and our Unified athletes. We spent extra time talking about the Millard West endeavor to build our Unified program. The rally was a huge success and truly showcases Millard West’s school spirit,” said Chris Loofe, Millard West Activities Director.

The 2015-2016 school year marks the second year of the Pump & Pantry School Spirit Award program and has included almost 100 NSAA member schools participating to date.
