The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) is proud to announce Sidney High School as the Pump & Pantry School Spirit Award recipient for the month of May.
The School Spirit Award Program features NSAA member schools sharing photos of their students and fans emphasizing positive support and excitement at NSAA events via social media. Winning photos are selected monthly and may be featured throughout the year on the NSAA website, additional publications and at NSAA State Championships. As the May honoree, Sidney High School will also receive a $250 gas card provided by Pump & Pantry to support team and fan travel.
Sidney High School has participated in the School Spirit photo contest by submitting multiple photos throughout the entire 2014-2015 school year. These images truly exemplify the consistent support of Sidney students.
“We have the Sidney High School “Red Zone” Council, which meets once a month to come up with creative ideas to support specific games, events or concerts. Our students work hard to support all Sidney High School activities. We love to place our athletic and fine arts programs in the limelight and take pride in doing so.” said Mike Brockhaus, Sidney High School Activities Director.
The Pump & Pantry School Spirit Award program has had almost 90 NSAA member schools participating to date. “Pump & Pantry is very pleased to be a part of the inaugural School Spirit Award program with the NSAA. We have enjoyed watching the various schools across Nebraska demonstrate their school spirit and fierce commitment to their schools this past school year. As a Nebraska born, Nebraska grown, Nebraska owned company, we could not be more pleased to have this association with the NSAA and to support schools, students, teachers and coaches from across the state” Stephanie King-Witt, Pump & Pantry Marketing Director.
