LINCOLN – The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) has designated the week of September 18th-23rd as NSAA Fall Officials Appreciation Week.
The weeklong campaign will highlight different facts and findings from a 2022 NSAA Officials survey as well as video highlights from the NSAA Officials Summit in July. Member schools are encouraged to get involved by reading an appreciation script prior to all games and sharing what they are doing to #RespectTheRef by tagging at NSAA Home on Twitter.
“During this time, the NSAA and our member schools will be making a special effort to show our respect and appreciation for those individuals who take time out of their busy lives to officiate,” said NSAA Supervisor of Officials Nate Neuhaus. “Extracurricular activities are an important part of the high school experience and without their commitment, we would be unable to provide these opportunities for the thousands of student-athletes across the state.”
The NSAA will also be highlighting winter and spring officials in addition to play production, speech, and music judges, and athletic trainers throughout the 2023-2024 school year.
